Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not create with our AI video tools, how prompts, photos and results are checked, and how to report content or appeal a decision.
Last updated: 2026-10-08
This policy applies to everything created, uploaded or shared with Shotvi (the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Service. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, assume it is not, or ask us first.
How the Service works
Shotvi is an independent product. It turns your prompts, photos and audio into short videos by running third-party AI models through a hosted API (fal.ai):
- Kling 3.0 Standard — text-to-video and image-to-video
- Seedance 2.0 Fast — text-to-video and image-to-video
- Kling AI Avatar v2 — talking photos (a portrait animated to speak an audio track)
- Kokoro — AI text-to-speech voices
Shotvi is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Kuaishou (Kling), ByteDance (Seedance), the Kokoro authors or fal.ai. Each model page shows which model runs; we never substitute a different one. Everything the Service produces is AI-generated.
Absolutely prohibited
These are never allowed, in any form or context, and lead to immediate account termination and, where the law requires, a report to the authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material, or any sexualization of minors — real, drawn or AI-generated.
- Sexual or intimate imagery of a real person, including "undressing" or sexual deepfakes, whether or not they are an adult.
- Content that promotes, glorifies or supports terrorism or violent extremism.
- Instructions or depictions meant to help make weapons capable of mass harm.
Prohibited content
You may not generate, upload or share content in any of these six categories.
1. Pornography and sexual content
No nudity, sexual acts, sexually suggestive or fetish content, or erotic material — including of fictional or drawn characters. No "seductive" dance, strip or intimate-contact effects.
2. Violence and gore
No graphic injury, blood, gore, torture, self-harm or suicide, and no content that threatens, incites or celebrates violence against people or animals.
3. Hate speech and harassment
No content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or serious illness. No hate symbols or extremist imagery. No bullying, threats, doxxing or targeted harassment.
4. Child safety
No content that puts children at risk or exploits them in any way. Do not upload photos of real children to any tool. Drawn or clearly fictional characters may be used only in non-sexual, non-violent content.
5. Deepfakes and impersonation
- No content that makes it look like a real person said or did something they did not, without their consent — including fake statements, endorsements, confessions or news.
- No photos or names of public figures (politicians, celebrities, royals and other well-known people), and no political or election content presented as real.
- No content made to defraud people, for example fake customer-support or "family emergency" messages, or fake identity documents.
6. Copyright and trademark infringement
No content that copies or uses other people's work without the right to do so — including copyrighted characters, film or game footage, music, logos and brand names — and nothing presented as official content of a brand you do not own.
Spam, malware, scams, illegal goods and any other illegal content are also not allowed.
Photos of real people
Talking photos and photo animation move a real person's face. Each time you upload a photo you confirm that you are the person shown, or that every adult shown has given you permission, and that you will not use the result to impersonate anyone or mislead people. You must be able to show that permission if asked.
How we check content
We moderate every generation, before and after it runs:
- Prompts and scripts are checked against our blocklist (prohibited terms, public-figure names, copyrighted characters; updated continuously) and by an automated content-safety service (Waffo Prompt Sift) before anything is generated.
- Uploaded photos are checked by an automated image classifier for sexual content, nudity, children, violence, hate symbols and public figures.
- Generated videos are checked again before they are shown to you. A video that fails is deleted and the credits are returned.
- The AI models' own safety filters may also refuse a request; you are not charged when that happens.
- Human review handles reports, appeals and every video we publish as an example.
If a check refuses your request, nothing is generated and no credits are used. If the checking service is temporarily unavailable, we pause the request rather than skip the check. We keep a record of each moderation decision (the decision, the category and a reference number — not your prompt or your media) to handle appeals and repeated violations.
Labeling AI content
Results are AI-generated, and the Service labels them as such. When you share a result, do not present it as real footage, and follow the AI-labeling rules of the platform you post to and of the law where you live.
Reporting content
If you see content made with Shotvi that breaks this policy, email support@shotvi.com with a link or the video ID, what is wrong, and, if it shows you, that you are the person affected. Signed-in users can also open a ticket under Settings → Support.
| Report | We act within | | --- | --- | | Child safety, non-consensual intimate imagery, credible threats | 24 hours — content is removed first, then reviewed | | Deepfakes of you, harassment, hate | 2 business days | | Copyright and other reports | 5 business days |
We reply to every report, tell you what we did, and report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities where required by law.
Enforcement
Depending on how serious the violation is and whether it is repeated, we may:
- refuse the request (no credits are used);
- delete the content;
- warn the account;
- suspend or permanently close the account — for serious or repeated violations, remaining credits are forfeited and not refunded;
- report the content and the account to the authorities where required.
Trying to get around a safety check (for example by misspelling blocked words or splitting a request) counts as a violation.
Appeals
If you think a request or an account action was wrong, email support@shotvi.com within 30 days with your account email and the job ID or the time of the request. A person reviews every appeal and replies within 5 business days. If we got it wrong, we restore access and return any credits that were used.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Service, the models or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes are announced on the site before they apply.
